Abstract

The tittle of this thesis is “The Traumatic Effect of Finch in the Movie All the Bright Places” directed by Brett Haley: Psycoanalytic Study. The writer finds that the main character has traumatic when he childhood. The purpose of the study is to give information about effect traumatic on the main character and why someone can be traumatized. Trauma is emotional and psychological distress generally due to unpleasant events or experiences related to violence unpleasant events or experiences related to violence. Because his traumatic, makes his to have feelings of anxiety, excessive fear, and feelings of distress, even to the point of having no zest for life and eventually committing suicide. The writer using Traumatic Theory from Robert Scaer. The writer uses used a qualitative research method, the data collected in this paper is taken from various references such as books or journals related to the topic the author wants to discuss. The conclusion of this research is that traumatic Finch as the main characher has trauma of being a neglected or abused child. There are several factors that can make a person traumatized by unpleasant childhood experiences, namely : Parents Experience Violence or Neglect Their Children, Parents Often do not Give Love to their Children and Parents Educate their Children with Emotion.
