Abstract

This research discusses the analysis of moral values in the novel Eleanor and Park by Rainbow Rowell. Moral values are the standards of good and evil that guide a person actions and decisions. The purpose of this study is to presents the moral values contained in the characters in the Novel Eleanor and Park. The theory that is used in this thesis is Linda and Eyre 1997. This research uses qualitative methods, the research object. The researchers use two primary and secondary data sources. The primary data is the novel Eleanor and Park written by Rainbow Rowell. Secondary data is a source of support data. This research such as journals, articles, related novels, and websites. Data were analysed be qualitative description techniques, namely a research procedures with the results of the presentation in the form of the author’s descriptive data in the form of quotations. After analyzing the novel Eleanor and Park, the author found ten kinds of moral values such as Honesty, Courage, Ability to Peace, Self-discipline, Loyalty, Respect, Love, Kindness and Friendship, Justice and Compassion.
