Abstract

Moral is something to be conveyed by the author to the reader, Moral values can be divided into two groups as follows the value of being is a value within human being involved into the behavior and the way we treat others and the value of giving is a value that need to be practiced or provided. This research is entitled An analysis of Moral Values in Girl in Pieces Novel Written by Kathleen Glasgow and the object of this study is a novel entitled “Girl in Pieces“ by Kathleen Glasgow. The study is classified as qualitative research. In this research the writer used Linda and Eyre’s Theory (1997) to find the moral values that consist in the novel. The writer found thirteen kind of moral values such as responsibility, honesty, love and affection, strong belief, enthusiasm, bravery, goodhearted, loyalty, piece loving, perseverance, sacrificing for others, sincerity and self confidence.
