Abstract

This study examines the transformation of human resource management in the era of artificial intelligence (AI) and technological disruption through a sociological perspective, focusing on employment structure dynamics and industrial relations in the Digital Industrial Revolution. The research employs a qualitative library research approach by systematically reviewing books, peer-reviewed journal articles, policy reports, and other relevant scientific literature. Data were analyzed using qualitative content analysis to identify key themes, conceptual relationships, and emerging patterns. The findings indicate that AI has transformed human resource management from administrative functions into strategic, data-driven practices, while simultaneously reshaping employment structures, increasing demand for digital competencies, and redefining industrial relations through algorithmic management and flexible work arrangements. The study concludes that successful HR transformation requires balancing technological innovation with ethical governance, workforce development, and inclusive labor policies. Integrating sociological perspectives into HRM provides a more comprehensive understanding of organizational adaptation and supports the development of sustainable employment systems in the evolving digital economy.
