Abstract
This research is about the moral values potrayed in the Silent wife novel written by A.S.A Harrison. Moral values are origins from the words moral and value. The definition of Moral is a term of approval and it is opposed to immoral or morally wrong and in other words Value is something that interested for us, something that we have to know in our life, something that pleases, something that loved, and in short value is something good. There are two theories of moral values which combined and used in this research, theory of living moral values of DianeTillman (2004) and Linda and Eyre (1995), both of those will used to answer the aims of this research to found the moral values of the Silent Wife novel that discussed in this thesis. The object that the writer used in this thesis is novel entitled Silent Wife novel. In order to analyze the moral values of the novel, the writer used qualitative research method. The writer found 33 of moral values that consist in the Silent wife novel. There are 27 moral values found by the first theory and 6 moral values of the second theory. The discussion in this story was dominated by the first theory of Diane Tillman (2004).
