Abstract

This study aims to know and to understand more deeply about social acceptance in the society. Which is where this research is associated with the social acceptance experienced by the astronaut in the Little Prince novel. The Little Prince novel by Antoine de Saint Exupery is related to the social acceptance of the Hurlock’s theory. The approach taken in this analysis is to make the main role in the novel, The Astronaut and then apply the Hurlock’s theory to The Astronaut so that The Astronout understands more deeply about social acceptance. The Hurlock’s theory used in this analysis is the social acceptance factor and social acceptance characteristics. The result of this research is that the astronaut can better understand the social acceptance of his environment and can adapt to adjusting himself in a new environment.
